LinkedIn recommendations received

All 29, verbatim and fully expanded, from https://www.linkedin.com/in/cege7480/details/recommendations/. Captured 26 August 2026.

Rule for anything drawn from here quote verbatim, name the person, keep their title and stated working relationship attached. If it isn't in this file, it doesn't go in the portfolio.

Correction on the record. An earlier capture got only 15 of these, because the page lazy-loads and a dozen entries were truncated behind "...more" links. On that partial list I claimed that four of the five people quoted in the old project-artifacts/testimonials/golden-quotes.md could not be found here. That was wrong. Tim Stall, Monica Stettler Brozny, Chase Carter, and Cornelius Jemison are all real, and their quotes in that file were accurate. Only James Hornick remains unverified. Deleting that file was still right, because five of its ten entries were credited to invented personas ("Anonymous Technical Lead," "Enterprise Client," "Former Colleague," "Legacy System Stakeholder," "Presentation Attendee"), but the named quotes in it were not the problem.

The recurring theme

Twenty of the twenty-nine independently describe teaching, mentoring, or force multiplication. Nobody asked them to.

Person Their words
Tim Stall "they subsidize the individual gaps of the team to create a multiplier effect"
Brian Boos "eager to teach and exceedingly generous with his time"
Gavin Borgeson "his desire to innovate is only matched by his desire to teach"
Steven J. Vinelli "put together a training program specifically to educate those elsewhere in the organization"
O'Neil Son "my growth over the year was exponential due to his dedication to teaching"
Russ Wilson "he thrives on imparting his knowledge to others"
Stephen Tanksley "his desire to mentor early career professionals like myself"
Monica Stettler Brozny "He not only coaches, but when needed, he will roll up his sleeves"
Cornelius Jemison "makes him a force multiplier"
Joe Kolodz "He has really been a force multiplier for us"
Richard Lewis "an excellent mentor and motivator"
Dave Burnison "share his deep knowledge... with others outside his company"
Mark Tomcza "He made me a believer."
James Gardner "eagerness to share and teach"
Nick Petrovits "adept at mentoring others"
Malerie Pace "foster a culture of continuous learning and improvement"
Eduardo Calderon "consistently delivering results and mentoring colleagues"
Scott Hermes "helping others improve"
Marc Griseta "a strategic thought leader... also a tactical leader"
Brian Tanquary "improves those around him"

Two are worth noting separately. Stephen Tanksley had never worked with Chris at all; they met in a LinkedIn comment thread, and he wrote a recommendation about being mentored anyway. Dave Burnison recommends him on the strength of user-group and conference talks rather than shared employment.

His profound understanding of these technologies enabled us to optimize resource costs, establish robust monitoring and alerting systems, and implement effective GitOps practices. Steven J. Vinelli

Senior Systems Engineer at RXO5 Sep 2023Chris was senior to Steven but didn't manage him directly

I had the pleasure of working closely with Chris Taylor during his time at Coyote Logistics. As an Enterprise Architect, he was an extremely impactful asset to the company, paving the way towards cutting edge technologies and efficiencies in the areas of automation (Terraform, DSC, GitHub Actions), Azure cloud services and offerings, hybrid cloud/on-premise architecture, project leadership, and much more.

While his official role was not specifically to be a mentor, what will last in my mind is how he took it upon himself to guide myself and others of my colleagues many times in our professional journeys. He and his team put together a training program specifically to educate those elsewhere in the organization and expose them to new ideas they might not otherwise become familiar with, always encouraging a deeper level of inquiry and learning. I always felt that he truly cared about the direction his colleagues' careers were headed in, offering guidance where he could. In team meetings, his input was extremely valuable, and his suggestions often paved the way for innovative solutions to challenging problems, delivered with some light-hearted jokes and a welcome sense of humor.

If you have the opportunity to work with Chris, I recommend that you take it. His blend of skill, ingenuity, and leadership is truly one-of-a-kind. Any organization would be fortunate to have him on board.

Chris combines hard work, incredible intelligence, and a curious nature to develop incredible cloud strategies and solutions. Chris is not only willing, but eager to help anyone that wants or needs it. His assistance to my teams in the area of Azure IaaS was, simply put, incredible. Our MS Azure Engineering reps called out our Azure deployment as one of the best they've seen. Leveraging IaaS, security, and various tools in the most advanced ways. On top of the impressive solution he helped design he did it with cost and security as guiding principles. If you need someone to fill an Enterprise Architect or similar role you will NOT find a person who cares more, works as hard, and as committed to success than Chris.

I had the pleasure of working with Chris on a project for Coyote Logistics. Chris not only did a fantastic job in translating deep technical concepts across department silos, but his true strength was being able to recognize where the business was and helping to build the bridge into the vision Coyote had heading into the cloud.

You can't get to the future without getting everyone on the same page in seeing your vision, and Chris did exactly that. He made me a believer.

Director, Data Science & MLOps at RXO18 Sep 2021worked with Chris but on different teams

Are there words to describe Chris Taylor? I am not sure that my writing skills can adequately capture the entirety of who he is and the value he provides. He is a superhero. He swoops in with great knowledge, skill, intelligence and experience to respond to calls for help. He goes above and beyond whether its breaking down silos in an organization or supporting the success of high stake, high pressure data science cloud development and deployment.

His unparalleled awesomeness is paired with his humanity. He understands human psychology, needs and cycles. He promotes cross functional team collaboration. He not only coaches, but when needed, he will roll up his sleeves, grab on and help lift heavy objects.

It is a privilege and an honor to have the opportunity to learn from, collaborate with and build the future with Chris.

Gavin Borgeson

Working with Chris is certainly anything but boring.

Chris has an infectious desire to innovate and tackle the tough problems. He'll have you asking yourself 'why haven't I considered this before' more than once, or even twice.

I'd say Chris's desire to innovate is only matched by his desire to teach. When you're working on a project with Chris, you're going to be walking away with new tools under your belt.

I owe Chris countless drinks for late night help debugging, daily mentorship, and spot on technical assessments.

Scott Hermes

I had the pleasure of working with Chris at JPMorgan Chase. His commitment to doing the right thing, for the customer, for the team, and for the code, made him an invaluable teammate. Stephen Tanksley

Chris and I have never had the pleasure of working together, but I hope to have that experience someday. He and I met on LinkedIn when we both commented on a post and started talking. He immediately impressed me with his deep knowledge of software engineering and best practices, his desire to mentor early career professionals like myself and his wicked sense of humor. In particular, I admire that he didn't allow me to assume I had little value to immediately contribute. He encouraged me to set my goals higher than I previously had and continues to do so.

Chris would be an excellent addition to any team looking to add an experienced mentor and leader to their senior architecture team.

Some people are so good at what they do that when they join a project they change the laws of physics. They prevent the fire from ever happening, they subsidize the individual gaps of the team to create a multiplier effect, and they make the show-stopper problems seem easy.

They do so because they're really smart and have dedicated their life to the craft.

I've been lucky to work on a few projects with Chris.

Chris Taylor is one of those people.

Marc Griseta

Scrum Master for Northern Trust10 Sep 2021managed Chris directly

Chris is the most passionate person I have ever worked with. I worked with Chris first as a peer, and then his manager, for over 5 years. Chris' passion for technology, and frankly, everything he does, exhibits itself in a tireless work ethic, ceaseless curiosity, and revolutionary thinking. Many of his strengths align as a strategic thought leader, but Chris is one of those rare individuals who is also a tactical leader. For Chris, the work isn't complete until he has implemented it.

On a personal level what stands out to me about Chris is how approachable he is. He has a great sense of humor and the ability to discuss almost any topic with depth and insight while remaining open-minded.

If you are looking for someone who embraces a challenge and brings both strategic and tactical skills to your company I would highly recommend Chris Taylor.

Richard Lewis

Chris is an amazing person to work with. I had the opportunity to work with him in 2019 and early 2020. I would consider him an excellent mentor and motivator. Chris is a visionary with the ability to rally teams to drive towards a single goal and path forward. He brings his years of experience as a Software Engineer and Consultant to every situation he tackles. He's great with partnering and listening to the users across the organization and champion their ideas. But at the same time not afraid to provide input while strategically thinking about the abilities of the company at an enterprise-wide perspective to make the idea better. His work process setups up the projects he tackles for success.

Chase Carter

Chris Taylor was a pleasure to work with on our Axis project. Not only did he bring great technical programing skills to the project, but he also brought a great personality and attitude that improved relationships within our organization. In addition to his technical programing skills he brought TFS to our organization and implemented it without any trouble. He then brought our entire development team onto the agile platform and productivity went through the roof. Chris was also able to provide some of the best Architectural guidance our team has ever had. I would highly recommend Chris to any organization that is looking to bring him on for his technical expertise, you will be extremely satisfied with his productivity. If it wasn't for Chris Taylor we would have never delivered our software at the high standard that is at today.
